DT card for For Fun Challenges: Recipe

Hi guys,

Arghhh what a day!!! I don't know if it is the pregnancy hormones but I am really irritable today. Everything seems to be getting right on my nerves today, the dogs whining, hubby working on a customers car, neighbours asking hubby and I to help find run away pets and put sheds up etc etc.... I want to scream, OK I have at hubby bless him so I thought I better hide out in my craft room before I upset anyone else lol. And guess what, it worked, I've made a card and feel a little less grumpy.

Right enough of that. Today at For Fun we are being sponsored by TLC Creations, gosh they have SO many digis, freebies and all, so so much to choose from. Along with this we are asking you to follow a rather fun recipe, 2 ribbons, 2 DPs, 1 image and 1 sentiment. Easy peasy right? Here is what I came up with:

I used another male LOTV stamp. Isn't he a cutie? Reminds me of my daddy lol reading the paper.

The DPs I used are both from the 'Good life' forever friends pad. Hey just noticed how the sentiment I used ties in so nicely with the name of the papers too :) The sentiment is a freebie from the TLC site. The image as I said is LOTV coloured with promarkers and prismas. Martha Stewart punch and seam binding from Wild Orchid Craft finished the card off nicely. I cut the circles with my cricuit E and the gems are from stash.

So come on over to For Fun and show us what you can do with this inspiring recipe.

Have a fab day, hope mine just gets loads better.

Cutie little boy card

Hia,

Finally it is Friday, yepiiiii..... After a very busy week, I have a very busy weekend ahead of me but then I am off work Monday so short week next week. I have my religious baby shower ceremony this weekend. S lots of time with the family etc which will be nice. The last time we all got together (aunts, uncles, cousins etc) was when my gran passed away last July so it will be nice to get together for happy times this time :)

So my card, well this reflects children in my family. Seems when me and my sisters were young we loved to hide in boxes where we snoozed away and then we asked our parents to drag the box all around the house and garden. Then 2yrs ago I found my neice was doing exactly the SAME thing!!! How suprising is that lol, seems we have inherited a box fetish lol.... So this card brings back some funny memories.

No suprises here but the image was coloured using Promarkers and Prismas. I have never used yellow and grey colour themes before so this is a new one for me but I do like it. The image is LOTV, as is the postcard stamp in the background. The sentiment I made using individual alphabet stamps. DP is Forever friends, ribbon, gems and brads from stash.

If I don't see you at the weekend, have a fab one and I will see you all again soon.

Take care all

Dad... Can you fix this pls?

Hia all,

Thursday right, week is almost over, Yay I hear you say. So far I have managed to post a card everyday this week, how cool is that lol. I love the image I have used today, it will probably be my Daddy's Father's Day card. My dad is a 'never throw, always fix it' guy. Even now I take things back home for him to fix for me lol. He loves keeping busy so is always up to something interesting-Mr Fix it I like to call him. But hey aren't a lot of Dad's like that?

So I coloured the image using Promarker as always and added shading and depth with Prisma pencils. I like the colour them I eventually decided on too, Blue and brown, cute right. The papers are from the linen closet and brads are from stash. I haven't used brads on a card for a long time so it was nice to get them out again. I added a tiny bit of embossing to the corner element. And obviously used a Martha Stewart punch too.

Challenges:

Passion for Promarkers: Colour theme-Blue and brown

C.R.A.F.T: Fathers Day

Crafts and Me: Stamp Something

Creative Inspirations: Card for Man/Man in your life

Fab n Funky: Magnificent Men

Have a great day guys, see you again tomorrow with another cutie boy card. Oh before I go, I just want to thank all you lovely people out there who have been visiting my blog and leaving me so much love-Thanks xx Also a big hello and Thank you to my new followers. Once I get to my target number of followers I will be adding some candy so keep an eye out, but please only follow my blog if you like what you see and would like to take inspiration from my work :)

For Fun Challenges DT card - Wedding Card/Gift

Hi All,

Here is my mid week post for you all. Wednesday, this seems to be becoming my favourite day of the week as its getting closer to the weekend lol. I only have 4ish months left of work before I finish for maternity leave so I am doing my best to fit in as much as possible, its hard work man.

So today at For Fun, we are asking you to make a Wedding Card or gift. I have really enjoyed making this card as I have been on a roll with male cards and it was lovely to get all girly, flowery and ebellishy again lol. You know what I mean right? Also, I love weddings so I found making a card for this rather easy. This week we are sponsored by Meljens so I have used the lovely heart from this.

The snazzy pic

I do like the way this has turned out, I am liking the cards I have been coming up with recently. Think the mojo is surly ON lol. So the main image I used is
Little Claire, coloured with Promarkers. The heart is Meljens as I mentioned, also coloured with Promarkers and prisma pencils. The paper is my new stack from My Minds Eye. The flowers and pearls are Wild Orchid Crafts and the seam binding and lace are from my local craft store.

So come on guys, come and make something romantic and share it with us at For Fun. Looking forward to seeing you there.

Challenges:

Sketchy Colours: Red, green and white

One Stop Craft: Texture

Our Creative Corner: Wedding Beauty

The Paper Shelter: Celebrate

Fancy a drink or pressie???

Hi guys,

How are you today? I am just fine. I have a card stall coming up so I am on a roll with cards lol. I am away this weekend so I need to spend every spare moment crafting otherwise my stall will be pretty empty lol. I seem to have given a lot away recently but it's time I raised some money again. I give some of my earnings to charity so it's sure a worthy cause right?

Anyway, again today I am sharing with you another male card. Rather a simple one today. I have a huge shortage of male embellishments so I kept this one simple while I rack my brains as to what else I can use. I may just have to buy some tag sentiments as they look pretty cool on male cards right. With Father's Day round the corner there are a lot of male card ideas around so if you struggle like most of us with male cards, take a blog hop around and I'm sure you will see something you like and can take inspiration from.

So here is my card:

The snazzy pic

Yes the image again is LOTV coloured with Promarkers and Prismas. The tag was just hand cut and the sentiment is a stamp I have but can't remember where from, sorry. The punch is Martha Stewart. The papers are from a new stack but again I can't remember what this is as I am writing this blog from my friends house while the lovely cooks for me, bless her. The buttons and ribbon are stash.

Challenges:

CES: Clean and Simple

Paper Sundaes: Let's get sentimental

Craft Your Days Away: Father's Day/Special Man

The Crazy Challenge: Father's Day

Right that is me for today. Have a great day and see you soon.

Footy boy

Hia all,

Happy Monday to you all. How are you? I had a really busy weekend. I had my sister and her boyfriend over which was great fun. Had a BBQ on Saturday and cooked a roast yesterday. The weather was supposed to be amazing but it sure wasn't was it? Rather disappointed I must say. My weekends are just getting busier and busier, I have no idea where the weeks are going at the moment. Before I know it, I am going to be a mum!!! Gosh...

Right today I have another male card to share with you. Yes it is another LOTV stamp, I just love them what can I say.

So this little man was again coloured with Promarkers and then I added my Prismas-these are becoming my next favs when it comes to crafting lol. They just add so much depth I love it. The punch is Martha Stewart, the papers are Forever Friends-Men. The sentiment is also LOTV, the gems are stash.

So am I getting better at these male cards? Let me know as I will be showcasing a good few more over the next week or 2. You never know, you may find an idea you like for your own Male/Father's Day cards. So watch this space.

Challenges:

Lily of the Valley: Punch it Up

Simply Create: All about your dad

Craft your days away: Father's Day/Special Man

Paper Sundaes: Let's get sentimental

Creative Inspirations: Father's Day

The Crazy Challenge: Father's Day

On that note, I shall leave you to it and will be back again soon.

Take care all

A boy card...

Hi Guys,

Happy mid week all. Wednesday is almost over and the rest of the week too, yay! I have been playing around with cards for boys/men these last few days to see if I can improve on them as I really struggle with male cards and need to get better at them. Also I have bought a lot of LOTV boys stamps so need to ensure they look fabby on the cards right lol.

So here is an image I coloured at the LOTV class complete in a card:

The snazzy shot

So what do you think? I must say I think it looks pretty good considering how my other male cards have come up in the past lol. So image is LOTV, coloured with Promarkers and Prismas. DP is from stash as are ribbon and gems. The sentiment is a papermania one from the male collection.

Challenges:

Simon Says Stamp: Fathers Day/Male card

Lexi's Creations: Fathers Day/Man Card

Stamping Scrapping challenge central: Boys, Boys, Boys

Have a fab rest of the week. I better go and do a little cleaning, I have guests coming over tomorrow and a little of the house is not looking its best, yes it is 11pm here in the UK but anyhow, its got to be done right xx
