Final GDT post for Papetake Weekly-Sketch

Hi Guys,

Firstly gosh, where has May gone? Is it me or is this year going really really fast? First day back to work after the bank hols, did u all have a good one? I sure did. It was our 2nd Wedding Anniversary, hubby took us away then we did some shopping, eating and chilling. It was a great weekend. I finally managed to get some decent/trendy looking maternity clothes rather than huge looking oldie clothes. I cannot believe how bad the range is in most shops. Just because you are pregnant doesn't mean you cant look good right? OK that's enough of the rant lol. Also hubby got me a white iPhone 4 as my anniversary pressie, yepi-I am thrilled as I have wanted an iPhone for such a long time!!!

Right to the card then, sad news today guys, my final week as GDT for Papertake Weekly :( I have honestly really enjoyed working with the girls, they have been great and the DT work there is just awesome so I am honored to have been asked to join in. So this week I have a fabby little card to share with you. I won't lie, I have put a lot of effort into this as it was my last one for my GDT spot. I really do like how it turned out, even hubby popped his head round and said, 'now that is just WOW, keep it up babes, they just keep getting better.' Isn't he a sweety x Love him x

The snazzy shot

Again this LOTV image (Love grows) was coloured at the LOTV colouring day. The flower arrangements were taken from the card instructions we were given on the day. I used the sketch from our challenge this week at Papertake Weekly, its just great isn't it? I'm sure you can call do a fantastic job with this one, so come on come and join us!!!

So same drill image coloured with Promarkers and Prisma pencils, Flowers are all WOC, Papers are mixture of freebies from the colouring day and then some I had. Martha Stewart punch and seam binding. Oh almost forgot the beautiful stickles lol. Right off to learn more about my phone now. I love gadgets so much......

Slightly delayed For Fun DT Card

Hi all,

Ooopsy daisy, I've been a little slow this week with posting my DT Card for For Fun, whoopsi... I have been so busy with work this week but all is good. So at For Fun this week we are asking you to be proud of your country and to show off your Patriotic colours!!! Being Bristish, I used Blue, Red and white alongside my cute image:

This week we are being sponsored by Digi Doodle Shop. We have a little Minature Dachshund so this image is just perfect for me. I think I will give this to DH as a thanks for being you card. I don't like the way this image coloured up for me, it just bled everywhere, I think its because the image is so tiny :( The DP is stash. The grunge backing is LOTV (I love these addition stamps) and obviously Promarkers to colour and gems from stash. Right I need to make some more cards today so off to the craft room I go.

Have a great evening all xx

Papertake Weekly GDT card-Pretty Pastels

Hi Guys,

How are you this lovely sunny Tuesday? I am good and enjoying the weather. I have had such a busy day today, trying to squeeze in as much work as possible before I get too big to drive around for work. So today I am sharing with you my Pretty Pastels card for Papertake Weekly. As you can see from my Sunday post I coloured this image at the LOTV class. Pretty Rosie Posy-what a cutie right.

The snazzy piccy

So like I mentioned the challenge today at Papertake Weekly is Pretty Pastels, I normally hate pastel colours as I think it all turns out too dull, doesn't photograph well etc. But I love the way this turned out. I tried to keep the DPs lighter than the image so all my hard work colouring pays off lol.

So the image is LOTV coloured with Promarkers and finished with Prisma pencils. The DP is Love letters, flowers and seam binding are WOC and pearls are from stash. Can't wait to see what you come up with this week, I like how this pastel card turned out so I'd love to pick up some new tips from all you out there so show me what you can do.

Right off to do some work now. Got loads to do so better shoot. May even take the dog for a walk, it's such a lovely bright evening it would be a shame not to right.

Have a great evening all

Challenges:

Truly Scrumptious: Anything goes and DT call

Top Tip Tuesday: DT Call

CES Challenge: Embellish It

Stamps & Fun: Flower Power

LOTV Colouring day

Hi guys,

How are you all this windy Sunday? I am good, bump is growing nicely. No card to show you today however as some of you know I attended the LOTV colouring day yesterday along with some other wonderful ladies. It was a fantastic day out, I really enjoyed myself. So I just thought I should give you a little sneak as to what we all got up to:

So we started off by colouring in James the Bear. The colours that we used and the technique were so different to what I would normally do. As always I stuck to Promarkers. Although the class was designed for Copic and Promarker users. I finished him off with some gorgeous stickles. Can't wait to create a Christmas card with him. He was so easy to colour.

Secondly we coloured the boy with Sail. Aren't we all scared of using Reds? Well now that I have a few more reds in my collection, this was so easy to do also. Can you see where the bleeding came in lol. Ooopss. Normally I would have left the sail white or added grey but perhaps coloured the whole sail however look what we did, coloured using brownish shades and only a tiny bit then in came the blender-how cool does that look?

Next was one of my favourite LOTV stamps-Love Grows. Aren't these just darling? Such a versatile stamp. Ok this was a little time consuming to colour but I just love how it came out, I compared it to the one I did a few weeks ago and boy this is so much better. Again I added some stickles.

Finally we had Rosy Posy to colour. I kinda rushed this one as time was running out but again I love the effect. To all the images we added some pencil shading using Prisma pencils, I have never done this before but boy I so will do so now. It just makes the image pop off the paper. Also I learnt I am rather heavy handed with my Promarkers so I need to watch that as this causes bleeding and obviously wastage of ink. Also I learnt the card LOTV sell (super smooth) is actually super, I am sure to move over to this.

So you must be thinking what about the shopping lol. So look what else I got lol, come on I couldn't not hey. I don't think I got carried away at all. Can't wait to make lots of LOTV cards now lol. Right I better go as hubby has just come back home and is starving and the dog won't stop barking lol.

Have a lovely Sunday xxx

GDT For Papertake Weekly-Anything floral

Hi all,

How are you? I have had a very hectic weekend and then busy day. It was my sisters birthday so we had a little party for her. Then mum had a little op so I decided to stay with her to help her out etc-it went really well and she will be recovering quickly. Now I am away for a few days for work so I am sad as I miss hubby and my fur baby so much. I don't know if it's the pregnancy hormones but I want to spend every minute of the day with hubby : ( Right enough of the soppy mushy stuff. Lets get to todays card.

So the challenge today at Papertake Weekly is floral, anything floral is fine, floral DPs, flowers, flowery stamps etc. So I decided to use a stamp I've boxed away a long time ago, it's a hero arts stamp, such a pretty little thing. To add a bit of contrast I decided not to use ink but to stamp the image with Promarkers, lol yes I am that hooked to them. Just kidding, lol.... I love the contrast it gives, almost like watercolours hey?

The snazzy shot

So the card, I embossed some bright pink card with the cuttlebug, added some seam binding (loving this stuff) some gems and flowers and there you are, a really quicky this one. I am really missing being on my other DT which closed down so have applied for a couple recently, lets hope I get one hey xx

TC everyone x I will be back next week now as I am away from home for a few days. Oh it's the LOTV colouring day next Saturday, I will let you know all we got up to, I am really really excited and looking forward to it.

GDT Papertake Weekly - Fancy a Punch...

Hi Guys,

Happy Tuesday. I know the weekend was a little while ago now, but did you have a good one? I sure did, I had DHs little cousins over Sat and Sun, they are 8 and 10. Gosh we had so much fun but I as they left I realised how exhausted I was lol. The dog was also flat out bless him. And we made 4 cards in total together. One of them is displayed today and another will be displayed tomorrow, they sealed up the other 2 before I could even take a pic. I think we did a great job together, what do you think?

This card is my GDT card for Papertake Weekly, this week we are asking you to get all punchy, get out those lovely punches you all own and die cuts etc and show us what you can do with them. Sorry my pics are dark but the weather has been a little dull.

I will be honest, I started this card end of March for my For Fun DT (Christmas theme) but I never completed it, so with the girls over I thought hey why not, lets finish this off and get them to help out too. OK my craft room is a mess but we had fun.

So the image is Wild Rose Studio coloured with Promarkers, the DP is Papermania, the punch is Martha Stewart and the rest is cut using my Cricut Exp-one to add to my Christmas draw ready for the festive season. With the baby due in Nov I am sure I will be behind this Christmas so I am going to try and make as many Christmas cards as I can before I have less time on my hands.

Hope you all have a great day.

Tuesday 3 May 2011

Sorry, long time since I posted, I'm sorry.... But here is why and GDT for Papertake Weekly

Hi guys,

How are you all? I am really sorry I have been a poor blogger recently. My last post was AGES ago. Well I haven't just been bumping, I have been rather poorly. Firstly it was a tummy bug, then some allergic reaction, then asthma, then a cold/flu (in this weather I know!) and then..... I found out I am PREGNANT!!!!!! This was a complete shock to me and my hubby but after the initial shock (well for me, hubby was delighted from the first moment), I am pleased to say I am feeling really excited!!! This will be our first little one and we are really looking forward to it. We had our 12 week scan almost 2 weeks ago and the baby is doing fine. I am so pleased as the doctors were struggling to get me better without harming the baby, but all seems to be OK. Anyway, I could go on forever about the pregnancy but this is a crafting blog so lets get to what I have been up to shall we?

So having not been able to craft for what seems like forever, I was asked to be a GDT for lovely Dawn at Papertake Weekly. I helped Dawn out back in Dec and she asked if I could help again for the month of May. Seeing as I am feeling better I thought, heck why not? Let's get straight back into it right. Here I go waffling again lol, it's obvious I've been away isn't it? I can't stop lol.

So the challenge at Papertake Weekly today is Anything Goes by Lili of the Valley with an added option to use something round. Well you know me, I love LOTV so what better way to return right? I was a little worried the card wouldn't turn out right as I haven't crafted for ages but I am pleased with it.

So, it's our 2nd wedding anniversary 29th May, so I decided to make a card for hubby. This stamp is just perfect for us at the moment, it's called 'Love Grows' by LOTV, seeing as we have a little life growing in me at the moment and it being gardening time here in the UK, I just thought this stamp would be perfect for our anniversary. I have had it a while but never inked it up. The image is coloured with Promarkers, the flowers, corner embellishment and seam binding are all from Wild Orchid Crafts. The punch is MS and the round stamp is also LOTV. Oh, almost forgot the DPs are 'Love Letters' by Trimcraft.

So guys, pray that I stay well and hopefully from now on I will be back to me usual crafty self. I am totally behind with my DT work so I better go and catch up. Speak to you all soon.

Die Cut Dreams: #88 Wedding (Wedding anniversary card for hubby)
