Everybody Art Challenge card

Hey,

Me again, lol.  Told you I may be back with another card today didn't I?  Well here I am.  Take a look.  I am not too pleased with the picture, the card looks lush in reality but I don't like the way it photographed.  Do you ever get that?  Anyways, it's such a cute card, The DP is again DCWV Christmas Multi Stack-Rose Tinted Christmas.  The image is from the Forever Friends Christmas range of stamps.  I love colouring these bears, they are so pretty.  I used a light shade of blue chalk on the stamped card and some glitter on his feet.  The flowers are Prima's with gems from stash.  The sentiment is Wild Rose Studio, same as the one I have used on my previous card today.

The Sketch is from Everybody Art challenge #106.  I love a good sketch, it just gets my creative juices flowing.  My husband thinks this card is so me, I wear a lot of pink and grey, in fact the colour theme came from my outfit today lol.  I have a grey top with pink on it.  It's 11pm and I can't stop crafting lol, I may just make another card.  In fact wish me luck guys I have bought a plain candle today and I want to try jazzing it up with some of my stamps,I have seen this being done on other blogs but have never tried it myself so I should probably prepare for this.  If all goes well I will post the outcome tomorrow, OK I will post even if it goes horribly wrong (I do hope it works though).  Fingers crossed for me??

Right off to find some handy tips on the candle.  Leave me a comment if you have any tips for me or links to some?  Thanks for stopping by!

Along with Everybody Art, this card is also entered into:

Tuesday Morning Sketches challenge

Hi everyone,

Sorry it has been so long since I last posted something.  I've had a great few days, me and my husband had a few days away in beautiful Cornwall.  We had a great break, lots of sun and beautiful beaches.  We got back last night and I was dying to get on with some crafting today.  Hopefully you will see a lot from me over the next few days.  I have a lot of ideas fluttering through my head, just so excited to get them onto paper (so to speak lol)  Over the weekend I placed an order on some more goodies, I won't tell you what I got but I am so excited, you shall see why soon...

So to the card.  The sketch for this came from Tuesday Morning Sketches challenge blog, I am entering this card into the current challenge #57.  I changed it around a bit to fit my image.  Another image from Wild Rose Studio, this is Milton with Sledge (isn't he cute?)  I hope I get this many presents this Christmas lol.....  I coloured Milton with Promarkers and then added some glitter.  The ribbon and gems are from stash.  The snowflakes are plastic embellishments I bought a few years ago, I love digging through my stash, you never know what you can find.  Why don't you go through yours and see what you can come up with?

The DP is from DCWV, The Christmas Multi stack, Rose-Tinted Christmas.  I love this paper pack, it's SO PINK!!!!  You will see lots of Christmas cards using this paper stack from me....  The sentiment is Wild Rose Studio.  Right I'm off, going to make some more cards now, you never know I may be back with another later.

Along with Tuesday Morning Sketches this card is also entered:

Crafty Cardmakers: Spotlight Challenge - Glitter & Sparkle
Thanks for stopping by.  Leave me a comment with your thoughts on this card xx

Look what I've been up to....

Hi Guys,

Over the weekend and today I stamped all these and coloured them in.  Some need slight additions to finish them off but oh am I a happy bunny or what.  Isn't it great when you've got images ready to go.  I like to have a few of these all ready to go for any cards I need to do in a hurry.

To be honest I would have made some cards too but I am not very impressed with my dp stacks at the moment.  I need to go shopping for some funky Christmas and general papers.  Any ideas guys?  What are your favourite papers at the moment?  Have you seen any that you think gosh I so NEED that?  Leave me a comment to let me know as I would love to see what is out there before I go shopping lol.....

Thanks guys xx

Lots of folds

Right onto my fun yet faffy card of the day...  This card started off a nightmare as I couldn't get the folds right.  The problem was that I wanted the folds to fit my stack of 6'x8' cards, it's much easier to make if you are just using standard cardstock so don't be put off.  I'm just trying to clear my stash pile.  Anyway, once I worked out how to make the folds fit my 6'x8' cards the rest was easy peasy...

Let me know if you want the details on how to do this.  If I get enough interest I may even post my very first tutorial.  Let's see....

So onto the finished product:

You've seen the stamped image on my blog before, this is Toby with Roses again from Wild Rose Studio, isn't he adorable.  I coloured Toby with Promarkers and added a Ruby border to the card he was stamped on.  I fixed Toby to step one on the centre of the card.  On step 2 I added a red ribbon bow and on the final step a sentiment from Wild Rose Studio.  The sentiment is actually from the Christmas range, stating 'With Love at Xmas', as you can see I just inked the 'With Love' part, this way I can make my own sentiments out of stamps I already own.  Great idea right???  Oh do you see the butterflies on the card with the sentiment on it?  All I did was cut a rectangular strip of white card and then punched some of the smallest butterflies on the butterfly border punch from Martha Stewart, I think this looks fab.  What do you think?  The dp is 'My Minds Eye-Spring'.  A few flowers and gems in the corners from stash to finish it off.

This picture shows the card stood up so you can see the folds and now you can also see the full Toby image.  The previous image is when the card is laying down flat.

This photo shows you all the folds in more details.  Great project for me today.  Now that I have figured out the folds I will sure be back with more of these.

This card is being entered into the following challenge:

Teddy Stampers: #17 Teddy Bear's Picnic (I see Toby bringing some roses for the picnic host)

Hope you a fun weekend, I sure did xx

Butterflies.....

Hi all, it's time for another challenge card.  I love butterflies and this is what I've come up with today.  I was aiming for a simple yet elegant look and I think this has turned out just beautiful.

It was really easy to put together, I punched the butterfly and added some sparkly glitter to the top of the wings.  Then I got some cream card stock to mount my papers onto.  The papers are Papermania Signature, Chatsworth vintage collection, they have a linen texture, very swish.  I have plowed through my paper stacks and pulled out the ones I haven't used for a while, this was one of the stacks.  Where the papers come together I added some cream silk ribbon.  The sentiment is from one of my forever friends stamps.  I added 3 aqua gems to the butterfly to finish the look.  I think this card would also work nicely for some invitations....

A close up of the butterfly

I have entered this card into:

Wow another busy day today...  And another card for you all!!!

I just love how this turned out, so pretty and pink.  I'm sure knuckling down to make my Christmas cards lol.  This is another pretty stamp of Milton from Wild Rose Studio, this is Milton with Robin.  I coloured the image with Promarkers and added sparkly glitter to the image.  The dp is Papermania and the ribbon, flowers and brad are from stash.  I love the dp so I just kept the rest of the card simple to show off the dp as much as possible.

I hope you like it, leave me a comment with what you think of this cutie xx

One for the boys

Hey again guys, hope you are all well and had a great day.  I am SHATTERED so only one card today, sorry.  I may make another but will not be posting it today.

So here goes:

The inspiration for this card came from the challenges the card is being entered for.  ABC asked for Blue, Belli asked for Round and Metal (hence the brads and gems and round sentiment), the sketch came from Truly Scumptious and the overall colour theme came from Colour throw down.

The image is Wild Rose Studio for Men, they have some nice stamps for male cards.  My husband is MAD about cars so he loves this stamp.  Shame his birthday isn't until Jan, in fact I might just write a nice message for him and give him this.  Any excuse hey ; ) ...  The car was coloured using Promarkers and the paper and card is from my stash.

This card is being entered into:

ABC Challenge - B is for Blue
Creative Belli Blog - #98 Round and metal
Colour Throwdown - Challenge #106

Hope you love the card as much as I do, see you again tomorrow for some more challenge cards.  Please leave a comment if you pop over to have a look around my blog, I love to hear your comments.  Thanks to everyone who has left me comments already, I REALLY appreciate them all!!!!

Few more challenge entries

Hiya everyone, how's everyones day been? I've had a busy few days with work and I've spent most evening crafting and I feel great. Isn't it just so therapeutic? I find it so...

Anyway to today's cards. I have 3 beauties for you today. It's amazing how quickly I put these together today I'm so proud, normally I colour an image and play around with sketch's for ages before I finally glue anything down lol...

Card number 1 is another stamped image of Milton with Poinsettia from Wild Rose Studio. This time he is in blue, so more of a winter/Christmas look rather than just for Christmas. For this card I was aiming for the 'Vintage' look, I have never made a vintage card before, do you think this works? I like it regardless.

For this card I tore the white card Milton was stamped on to give a worn, rustic look. As the edges looked a little rough I decided to add some glitter to give the image a lift. The image was coloured with my beloved Promarkers. The dp is Forever Friends, Just for him. The ribbon is from stash and the flowers are Prima, E line Brown to add to the vintage look. Let me know your thoughts xx

Milton had been entered into my first ever Vintage challenges:

Bunny Zoe's Crafts - #3 Vintage

Creatalicious Challenge - #13 Vintage

The card below is for the Cupcake Crafty Challenge, #104 Happy 2nd Birthday Cupcake. Some fab prizes here so be sure to pop over and play along yourself. The theme is 2 to celebrate their 2nd birthday, so a card with ***Two Papers, Two Ribbons and Two Flowers*** I've used the flowers on the stamped image as 1 flower element, and then the flower in the corner as the 2nd. Again there is a ribbon on the stamped image and one on the die cut. And I have used 2 dp from the Forever Friends, Just for him range, although it goes with this girlie card lol.

This is my favourite for today, why? because it's PINK!!! Meet Toby, he is also from the Wild Rose Studio range, this image is 'Toby with Roses'. The dp is Dovecraft 'Piece of Cake'. If you like pink as much as I do and cakes, you MUST get this dp, it's perfect. All my images were coloured using Promarkers today, as it is getting late I won't list techniques and individual colours however leave a comment if you need any further details and I will sure get back to you.

Toby will be entering his first challenges with me at:

Party Time Tuesday - #12 Pink, Brown and white

Inspirational Card Sketch - #79 Meljen's design

I love this pic xx

I'll be back tomorrow with some more ideas, be sure to pop back x

My first Christmas card this year

Hi all, hope you had a nice Sunday and Monday. I sure did, finally getting some nice weather here again. Anyway you're thinking so where is this card? Well here you go, but before I show you, just to say I've had all the Wild Rose Studio Christmas stamps in now and I am so excited to use them, I just had to make a Christmas card and it's only August lol.... So I went through a few Christmas challenges and have made this to participate.

So here is cutie Milton with Poinsettia. I love how this card came out, I am trialing a few 'simple' designs that are easy to replicate for when the rush starts for Christmas cards. I find simple cards difficult sometimes but I love how this came out. I used the sketch on the ABC Christmas Challenge blog.

I coloured Milton with the Satin Promarker. The Poinsettia with the Ruby Promarker. The paper is from Papermania. It's really nice, double sided and really thick, so almost like card which gives the card a nice quality finish. I added a few gems to the corners to add a little sparkle. Let me know what you think.

This card had been entered into the following challenges:

ABC Christmas Challenge - Q for quick n easy
Christmas Stamping all year long - Challenge #60 designer paper
A spoon full of sugar - Challenge #117 Christmas
Stampavie and more - Challenge #104 Christmas in Summer
Creative Card Crew Challenge - Sparkle and Shine
My Time to Craft Challenge - #103 Glitter & Glitz
Craft your Passion - #19 Anything goes
Crafty Anns Challenge - #21 Christmas in August

Thanks for looking, I'd love to know what you think so please leave me a comment xx

More eye candy....

Hiya again, so ready for some more eye candy? Yea I thought so...

So this pretty little card is inspired by very talented Maria Bell. Her work is just so amazing, the pale yellow flower is the left overs from one of her free svg files, check out the link below to see what I mean, I actually made the card shown on the tutorial also but don't have a pic, sorry. I will make another soon and post it. To make your own card, check this tutorial out. I cut the flower using Maria's SVG file and my adored Cricut Expression. Isn't this just a great bit of kit?

This stamp is so cute, it is from Little Claire designs. We got married last year, it was such a special few days. I'm Indian and my husband is mixed race so we had 2 weddings lol... how lucky am I? And 2 dresses too....

Anyway back to the card. Again this was coloured using my beloved promarkers. The sentiment is just a peel off, as are the hearts. Although you can't see this in the photo, there is glitter around the image on the confetti. The card was put through the cuttlebug using the d'vine swirls folder. This folder is so popular, I waited weeks for this, but it was so worth the wait.

Oh who doesn't like cakes? Anyone? I didn't think so. I love these stamps, it is a pack of different cup cakes from Kanban, yummyyyyyy.... I stamped the image using gold ink and the band is cut from some pretty polka dot dp, this and the ribbon is just from my stash. The sentiment is stamped from lilac pigment ink using a hero art stamp.

Little Anya, isn't she a cutie? Anya is one of the popular girlies from The Greeting Farm range of stamps. Here the main aim was to practise colouring hair using my promarkers, this image was perfect for me to try this with all that lovely hair. So the card is a little plain as I just wanted to try Anya in different coloured hair. What do you think of this? Does it look ok? I think it's a good attempt.

Another image from TGF. I love this card, it's got a lot of my lovely pink in it. And her blonde hair looks lovely I think, what do you think? The dp is 'My minds eye'

I have recently bought all the stamps I love from the 'Wild Rose Studio' collection. Dulcie is so creative, I love teddies so her range is great for me. Check out her range, she sells internationally so you should have access to them wherever you are. Anyway this is one of her girlie stamps. I made this card for a friend for her birthday, she is such a classy lass and loves her wine so this image was just perfect for her. I love the effect of the big bow. The border punch is Martha Stewart and the image is coloured using promarkers.

Having a baby is such a wonderful time in ones life. The main aspect to this card is the ribbon, I bought this a few years ago, I have a baby blue one also. I bought these with loads of ideas in mind but never used it until I made this card, I just love the way it turned out. I love how the little teddies and the paper all coordinate together.

This card was inspired from Mackenzie. Sorry Mackenzie, I hope you don't mind, my sister saw your card and asked me to make one for her friend. This is one of my absolute favourites but no credit to me, all to Mackenzie please. Here I tried Anya with black hair, but I found this hard as black is such a strong colour, Mackenzie did a great job with the copics but I was less daring with the black, she almost looks too grey lol... sorry Anya. Maybe this is easier with copics? Any ideas? Mackenzie used an embossed background, I used black and white polka dot dp from Papermania. I love how the card looks against my red rug...

This card is again a beauty. A friend bought the image for me so I am unsure where it is from, I will look it up when I get a minute. Isn't she so cute though? The border punch is Martha Stewart, I love this punch with all the butterflies, goes really well with this image I think. I love how the image came out with the promarkers, I used one of the passion for promarkers tutorials for this and it really helped. I don't have all the promarkers but I do have a lot so most colours are covered in my stash. If not, any excuse to get some more right?

Right that is me for today, I'm off to colour in some of the Christmas stamps I've recently bought from the 'wild rose studio' collection and the Christmas forever friends collection. I will post these as soon as I have finished making the cards.
We were supposed to be going to the Balloon Fiesta today, however the rain has kept us indoors, hey not so bad though as I finally took the plunge with the blog!!! Before I sign off I will add some of the blogs that I follow and get my inspiration from, please do add me to your followers list so we can keep in touch. Contact me with any questions if you have any or if you'd like more details/info.
Have a great Saturday xx

Some of my previous work

Hi all, some eye candy for you. Just a few pics of cards I have made previously. This is going to be a fairly long post, hope you find it inspiring.

These cards I made for my mum and my mother-in-law for Mother's day back in March. I totally love the butterfly punch, it's one of my favourites, you'll see it pop up loads on my work. Oh, you'll also notice that I love 'pink', my favourite colour.... The punched border is Martha Stewart, love her punches, such good quality and fab designs. The dp is 'My minds eye' Spring papers.

Here you can see the Fathers day cards I made for my dad and my farther-in-law. The stamp is papermania. I don't know if I'm totally in love with these, I find cards for men pretty difficult, guess that goes for all of us right? My dad loves Cricket, when the matches are on he's glued... feel sorry for my mum as she hates it lol.. bless her...

Shoes anyone? I love this stamp from Hero Arts, I bought this years ago now. One of my favourite stamps, I love my shoes...

One for the cat lovers. I really enjoyed colouring this one in. I had just bought loads of promarkers and spent one whole weekend just practising colouring techniques. The border is Martha Stewart, I've coloured this in with the Antique pink promarker to coordinate with the rest of the card. Sorry for the poor quality picture, I need to practise this really.

Ahhh... Martini anyone? I love Nikki's stamps, they are great to colour in and she has a great range of stamps for us girls. I love this stamp, it's just so me, kicking those shoes off after a busy day at work enjoying a drink with my gorgeous dog (Ricco) sitting near me. Ricco is a miniature Daschund, so almost as tiny as the little pup on this stamp.

Right told you that would be a long one.... More on its way though lol, so don't go just yet...

Hello fellow crafters

Hi everyone, gosh I'm so excited yet nervous about this. I have been crafting, painting and drawing for years now but for the last couple of years I have started to make cards for friends and family. This moved onto me selling my cards and browsing hundreds of blogs for ideas and tips. Now i've decided to take the plunge myself and start my own blog! I have so many cards I want to psot on here so be prepared for a hopefully active and bustly blog. I hope you enjoy browsing my blog as I have done yours. Any hints for the beginner would be much appreciated.

Have a good day x
