DT Project-For Fun: 6.5x6.5 Accordian card holder

Hi guys,
How are you all doing? I am really excited to show you what I have created today. Remember a few weeks ago I posted an accordion file? It was only 6x4' and although it is great for holding my stamped images I couldn't use it to hold my cards as most of the cards I make are 6x6'. Sooo, me being me, I sat and played around and made a 6.5x6.5' holder, yepiiiii. Lol, I am so excited as it turned out perfect and I did it myself!

This is how it looks on the outside

And this is the inside, all nicely sectioned so you can put things in nice and organised.

The main aim for this project was the challenge at For Fun today, we need you to create a card box or holder, something you can give as a gift. My childhood friend is getting married so I have made this for her, although I like it that much I make another and keep this for myself lol. The colour theme matches hers so maybe I should give her this one lol.... hmmmm....

Putting this together was really easy, just follow the tutorial link on my previous accordion file project and change some dimensions, if you are interested let me know and I will pop a tutorial on here for you all to try. The papers used on this project are all Papermania-The Big One. The stamped pretty design is from the Graphicus Damask Hearts collection, I added a few gems to this. The flowers are Prisma and Wild Orchid, to these I added a little sprinkle of glitter to make them stand out a little, and that's all really.

I hope you all come and show us your wonderful creations this week at For Fun. It is the DH's birthday tomorrow so I am off to get things ready for that. Have a fantastic day everyone, catch up with you all soon.

xx HUGS xx

Final GD card for Inspirational Card Sketches

Hi all,

Sad times today, my GD spot with Inspirational Card Sketches come to an end today :( It has been really fun being part of the team at ICS, I love the sketches they are always such fun. The sketch today is really fab, this is what I came up with:

Fancy pic

Sorry about the quality of the pics guys, I knew yellows would be hard to photograph. Anyways I guess you get the gist of it right? The image in this card is from Digital Delights, called Little dumpling and stork, isn't it a sweet image? I love it. I have a few of the little dumpling images, I will get round to using them all soon I am sure. I coloured the image with Promarkers. The scalloped circle and circle have been cut on my Cricut Expression. The punch is Martha Stewart. The embossed backing is the 'Baby' folder from Provocraft, put through my Cuttlebug, I then added some yellow ink to it. The flourish is Marianne design again put through the Cuttlebug. The flowers are Papermania and Wild Orchid Crafts. The gems are also Papermania.
I hope you can all join us at ICS today, especially seeing as it is my last GD card for them.
I just wanted to thank Dawn for giving me the opportunity to be part of the team at ICS, I have thoroughly enjoyed every week and will be joining in with the challenges as usual.

DT Card for Teddy Stampers-Anything Goes

Hello.....

I am really happy today, why? Because it is Friday and a really good childhood friend of mine is getting married tomorrow, I am really looking forward to her big day and celebrating with her. Unfortunately the wedding is in my home city and the hubby is working so he can't make it :( but my whole family (sisters, parents, niece) have been invited so I am sure we will have lots of fun.

So on to the card, I think this turned out beautifully. The challenge today at Teddy Stampers is-Anything Goes, but obviously you must use a Teddy image. We are being sponsored by Ellephantastic, so some of the DT were given Ellephantastic images to use, I was one of them and I chose the cute Tattie Bear with Heart, isn't he just adorable?

The fancy shot

This card took some time to put together, I just couldn't decide on the final design lol. I am trying to use lots of flowers on my cards, I just love the romance they add to the overall design, I am a softy at heart lol. So off to Wild Orchid it will be after payday lol. After much messing around with the flowers, the colouring and the layout this is what I came up with lol. Typically I would have used red backing card but to be different I tried a silvery grey card, I think this worked. The punch is Martha Stewart. the image was coloured using Promarkers. I added some silver stamped flourishes to the edges of the image to make it blend into the overall design. The flowers are Wild Orchid and Prima. The DP is DCWV-Spring Stack and the ribbon is from stash.

Now it's your turn, come and show us your teddies, remember the challenge is Anything Goes so should be nice and easy, especially with Valentines day around the corner, cute teddies are the way to go.

See you all again soon x

DT Card for For Fun-Glitter

Hia all,

How are you today? I am feeling very glittery. This week at For Fun we are asking you to use lots of glitter, gems basically anything which sparkles. I love glitter, I try to use glitter on most of my projects so there was no excuse for me lol.

This is what I came up with:

The arty shot:

Now I could have gone totally mad with the glitter but I controlled myself lol. I added glitter all around the DP, which is Papermania-The Big One. I added glitter to the roses (I love how this turned out, just dab a little glue onto the inside of the roses and sprinkle with glitter, they look so pretty). I then stamped the lovely flourish from Graphicus-Damask Hearts collection with Black StazOn and added gems to it. The beautiful punch is Martha Stewart. I have only just added this to my collection recently and love it, I want to use it everywhere. I am also collecting the little hearts which are cut out from the punch (the waste) to use as confetti one day lol... This card took no time at all to make, probably as there was no colouring involved lol.

Come on guys, I know you all must have something sparkly so come and join us at For Fun, and lets have some sparkly fun today!
xx

GD Card for Inspirational Card Sketches

Hi everyone,

How are you? I am doing just fine today. Again I will be away for work for the rest of the week so have scheduled this weeks posts. Today is my 3rd week as GD at Inspirational Card sketches, so next week is my last :( I am rather sad as I love following sketches, but don't worry like the rest of you I will participate in the challenges instead. Before I carry on, I just wanted to thank all you lovely people who have left me comments, I really appreciate them all and love reading them all too-Thank you. If you visit my blog, please do leave me a comment so I can hop over to see your work also.

Right onto this weeks card then. The sketch is really simple and I am sure you can use it for many themes. I am short on cards for men so this is what I came up with:

And the artistic shot:

The image is a Cocodingo digital image, my favourite from here range, coloured using Promarkers. The music script I just printed off the Internet and distressed the paper, the embossing was done using the 'Happy Birthday' folder in my cuttlebug and the sentiment is an old Hero Arts. I went over the embossing, sentiment and image with blue chalk to give it a nicer finish. A few gems and there you go, job done.
Right off to schedule some more DT posts, see you soon guys

For Fun Challenges DT card - Colour Challenge

Hi guys,

How you all doing today? Today is officially supposed to by my first DT card for For Fun Challenges, however as you know I have been making DT cards for this challenge since the end of Dec now. I was so excited when I was accepted that my mojo made me participate in every challenge so far lol.

Today we have a colour challenge for you, all you have to do is use 'Black, Purple and Olive'. I must admit I have never made a card using these colours so I was very excited when I saw this. I wasn't quite sure how it would turn out but I am pleased with the outcome. What do you think?

Before I started, one thing I knew for sure was I had to ink up one of my Tilda's. After all those Christmas cards we've all made it feels nice to be making everyday cards again. Well that's what I think anyways lol. The image is Fairy Dust Tilda which I coloured with my Promarkers, I inked the edges of the image and added some glitter to the fairy dust. The flowers and pearls are from a blog candy I won some time ago now. The ribbon is stash. The butterfly border punch is Martha Stewart and the DP is a mixture of different Papermania.

Challenges:

Cupcake Craft: #124 Something New Flowers

Top Tip Tuesday: #17 Anything Goes

Come on, now it's your turn. Let's see what you can come up with using this beautiful colour combo.

Have a magical day everyone

GD Card for Inspirational Card Sketches

Hi Guys,
How are you all? I am slowly recovering from my bug. I don't think I have ever had the flu but on this occasion I may even say I did :/ The docs said I have a chest, ear, throat and sinus infection. I feel like someone has been kicking my head in all the time, it is so sore. I have never been so down before, I just can't wait to get back to normal. Anyway enough of my moaning. Even though I have been ill, I have been crafting, mainly to distract me and I think in most cases it worked.

Today I am sharing my GD card for ICS. I love how this turned out, what do you think?

The sketch to me was crying out to use the Martha Stewart Garden Trellis punch. I folded the sides behind the image to act as an opening gate, I think this turned out lovely. There are 2 images on this card, both by CC Designs, one is Sweater Brigitta and the other is Field Fence. Both have been coloured with Promarkers. I distressed the edges a little and added a huge flower with a tiny flower in it and a happy birthday sentiment. I am running short on birthday cards after the Christmas rush.

Challenges:

Cupcake Craft: Something New-#124 Stamp and flowers and punch

Top Tip Tuesday: #17 Anything Goes

Right guys, I am off to visit some of your blogs.

Thanks to everyone who takes time to leave me comments, I really appreciate them all x Also I do try and visit everyone who has passed by to see what you have been up to x

Have a nice day x And don't forget to come and play along with us this week at ICS, I'd love to see what you come up with x

An Accordion file project

Hi Guys,

Poorly old me has spent most of the weekend in bed or in my new craft room. Hubby and I spent hours before Christmas cleaning and sprucing up my spare room into a guest/office/craft room. With all the hard work that went into it, I thought I better use it before he changes his mind and decides to turn it into a man's room again lol. I won't go into the details but I bet you can guess what I mean. Anyways one of my New Years resolutions was to try other methods of paper crafting-not just cards. So today I have made an accordion file. I have never made anything like this before so was really pleased with the way it turned out.

This is how it looks on the outside

And this is the inside, lots of storage space.

I have a habit of inking up images and colouring them in while I watch TV etc, so decided to use this to store images in. But I am sure you can find plenty of things to to with it. The size of this file is 4x6', for a tutorial on how to make this really simple project please visit the oh so talented Maria Bell. Also if you are interested, I have been playing around with the dimensions so if you would like to know how to make a larger file, visit me near to the end of the month where I will share this with you as partof one of my DT projects.

Challenges:

Fab 'n' Funky - #54 Anything Goes

Lady Bug Crafts Ink - #9 Anything Goes

Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes

Paper Sundaes - #51 Circles

Creative Inspirations - #50 Something New (new project I have never tried before)

Enjoy the rest of your weekend. I'm off to spend some time with the hubby now before he thinks I've neglected him in my craft room lol xx

Teddy Stampers DT card - Celebrations

Hi all,

How are you today? I am a little sad, I'm in sales so January is a scary time of the year, this is when we get our targets for the year and our figures go back to ZERO!!! How scary is that?

Anyways, on a happier note, today I am sharing my first DT card for Teddy Stampers. How exciting. This fortnight we are being sponsored by Whimsy Stamps so we were given some images to play with. I chose the chilly bear, I flipped one of the bears and balanced a heart on their noses. This card if for my DH, we've been together for 8 years now so I thought I would give him a cute card to celebrate our anniversary. This is just perfect for the occasion. On that note, the challenge at Teddy Stampers is 'Celebrations' As it is for him I couldn't add too many embellishments lol, although I almost did put some flowers on but then it would have turned out too girly lol.

The heart was coloured on the computer. The DPs are Papermania and Dovecraft. The border punch is Martha Stewart. The sentiment is again from the computer. I added some glittery stickers to the corners and a bow as it was lacking some embellishments, I always find cards for men difficult to jazz up but I think this turned out just right.

Right guys, I better be off, we've had 2 solid days of team meetings before the year starts properly so now it's off to get the numbers rolling in. Wish me luck. I will let you know how I get on as the year goes by.

Bye for now, take care everyone xx

Hi all,
How are you this lovely Tuesday? It's my first day back to work having had almost 2 weeks off. So on a brighter note, I have some fab news to share with you. I applied for the DT for Inspirational Card Sketches, however unfortunately I was unsuccessful. However the lovely Dawn asked if I could be GD for January!!! Obviously I said YES lol, so here is my first GD card for ICS. Hope you like it.
I am trying to make a range of different romantic cards ready for Valentines so here is one design to share with you. Both DPs are from stash, the ribbon is also stash. The sentiment is from Graphicus, I love the font on this stamp. The corners are glittery stickers.
I hope you like this card and more importantly come and join in with this beautiful sketch. I'd love to see what you come up with.
Have a fab day xx
