GDT For Papertake Weekly

Hi Everyone,

How are you doing now that the big day is over? Finished all the turkey? I had a fantastic time, 2nd year running me and the hubby hosted and did we have fun. We have loved every minute of it and hope the family enjoyed themselves too. Funny how I never used to help when I lived at home and now that we have our own place we love getting everyone around for dinner etc. I've grown up loads in the last few years, gosh... sometimes I think back to what a brat I used to be, I've got to make up for it now hey....

Today I am really delighted to share this card with you. Dawn at Papertake Weekly was looking for some GDT's to help out this week at her final challenge of the year so I applied and she accepted!!!! The theme is 'Be Thankful', considering all the presents we have all accepted recently it is only fair we send out some thank you cards right? So here is one of the many I have made. The rest are the same layout just in different colours.

It was difficult keeping away from the beloved stamps but I wanted something which was simple and quick to mass produce so I could send them out to everyone. I like the way they turned out. The flowers are a mixture of Papermania and Wild Orchid, the DP is Papermania. The ribbon is from stash, sentiment is hand written with inked edges, the punch is Martha Stewart.
Come and join us on this fab event at Papertake Weekly, we are being sponsored by Simon Says Stamp!!! How cool is that?
Before I go, I just want to THANK Dawn so much for this opportunity, I am so lucky to have been chosen for this wonderful event.
Take Care everyone, I will be back soon.

My first For Fun Challenge Card

Hi Everyone,

How are you all this very festive, cold and snowy season? I am really excited for Christmas, I am hosting again, so exciting. Yesterday was my final day at work until 4th Jan. My job means even when I have time off I could end up working so this time of year is the only time where I do actually get time off!!! Whooopiiiii lol. I love my job but we all need a break now and then don't we?

Anyway as you all know I am now a fellow DT for For Fun Challenges, my term doesn't actually start till Jan but seeing as I had sometime I thought why not make a card, obviously lol. This week at For Fun Challenges the theme is 'Anything Goes' so no excuses guys come on, get those new toys out that you asked for from Santa and have a play, why not...

Seeing as I am done with all my Christmas projects I thought I better start getting down to my everyday cards again, I'm hoping to do a few fates early next year so need to stock up again. So this week I decided on a male card. This is one of my favourite male cards so far I think, so bright and fresh yet simple. What do you think?
Image: Wild Rose Studio
Sentiment: Papermania
Medium: Promarkers
DP: Forever Friends
Embellishments: Button from stash and glittery blue stickers
Hope you can join us with this challenge

For the One I Love

Hi Guys,

I have thoroughly enjoyed making this card today. I needed to make one last Christmas card and I left the best to last. Not only is this my favourite Christmas card I have made this year but it is also for my most favourite person in my life-my hubby : )

It has been a few days since I got a chance to sit down and make some cards, so I was worried my mojo may have vanished but I so love how this turned out.

For this card, I used 3 DPs all Papermania Christmas range, I distressed and then embossed all the edges in gold embossing powder. The image is a cute little Tilda coloured with Promarkers. I added a little embossing to Tilda's bow to keep with the gold theme. The Heart is a Graphicus stamp, stamped with Versa clear ink and then embossed using Gold embossing powder. I added a few white plastic snowflakes and then some gems in the corners.

Challenges:

Totally Tilda: #11 For the One I Love

Sketch Saturday: #133

Sweet Stampin Challenge: #Recipe

Just Magnolia: #85 Christmas Card

Alphabet Challenge: G for Glitter (hope gold embossing counts)

Delightful Challenges: Embossing

I hope the hubby loves it as much as I do

Craft Your Passion: Challenge #34: Monochrome

Hi everyone,

How are you all this fine Monday? I'm sad :( my time with Craft Your Passion has come to a speedy end :( I have really enjoyed my GDT post so thank you so much for having me guys I really appreciate it. Some of the challenges took me out of my comfort zone, exactly what I was looking for.

The challenge this week is go Monochrome with any choice of colour. I chose blue but like I said you can choose any colour so come on show us what you've got.

This card was lovely to put together. The embossing was done via my cuttlebug and the d'vine swirls folder. I then rubbed some pigment ink over the embossed card. I cut the digi out using my craft knife, added a little glitter (why not) and a little colouring with promarkers. The sentiment is hand written. I cut the sentiment tag using my Martha Stewart punch to create an interesting edge. This card was really easy to put together, great as Christmas is just peeking around the corner now and gosh do we ever make enough cards for Christmas lol. Some years I must admit I have had to make a last minute dash to the shops for some Christmas cards as I haven't made enough but this year I am determined NOT to do that so quick simple yet elegant cards are just perfect.

Right goodbye from me from my Craft Your Passion post, I will come back and visit, don't worry.

Thanks for having me and for all your lovely comments

Vintage Teddy with favourite things

Hi everyone,

I'm so pleased to be crafting again and just as I got into it, I am going be away from home for work again till Monday so no more cards for me till Monday guys :( I'm really sad... So today I wanted to make a special card and not a Christmas themed one, my poor non Christmas stamps have been picking up dust so I had to get this one out. I don't normally work with vintage browns but I love cards that use a lot of brown. So I tried this one, what do you think? I really do like this, it came out just right:

And yes I had some fun taking the pics too lol

I love the way the colouring turned out too. I am thinking a lot more before I plonk colour onto my images. I always added shading but sometimes it didn't flow throughout the image as it should, so I need to get this right now-not that anyone has noticed or if they have they've been too polite to say lol xx

So this card is trying to express all things I love, obviously pink has to be number 1 however I tried to keep it to a minimum as the 2nd thing was to try something new and challenge myself, this for me was to try a different colour and brown it was!!! Number 3 CAKE lol, now who doesn't like cake hey. I love decorating cakes, when I lived at home we always baked at the weekends but seeing as there was 5 of us and lots of family and friends popping over throughout the weekend you couldn't pig out on your creations which was great. Seeing as there is only me and the hubby at home baking is out of the question otherwise we would just pig out completely lol. Infact I nearly asked the hubby for a cake decorating kit for Christmas but I think that could get dangerous and we would be piling on the pounds in no time so for now I will refrain. Don't worry there is plenty of crafting goodies I have asked for lol.

Sorry this post has been me waffling on as usual. So to the ingredients: DP is Dovecraft, Image Forever Friends-coloured using Promarkers, little brown chalk to distress the edges, bit of glitter, a foam sticky sentiment and gorgeous blue satin ribbon.

Entered Challenges: Paper Sundaes: #45 Sketch, Paper Romance: #25 Things we love (trying something new, pink, cake), Fab 'n' Funky: #49 Forget me not (stamp), Forever Friends: Chocolate/Cake

Right guys, off to bed now, see you next week, have a fab one

xx

Craft Your Passion: Challenge #33: Sketch

Hi Guys,

Happy Monday to you all. I've had a lovely relaxing weekend. Last week was a busy one at work so I needed a nice relaxing weekend and lots of crafting, just perfect. My time with Craft your passion is quickly coming to an end :( next Monday is my last week. I have really enjoyed my GDT post. So this week we are looking for you to follow our sketch and create something fabulous, come on guys lets see what you can come up with.

My card this week is for a boy, I'm pleased with the way this turned out, cards for men are usually difficult for me but this just turned out lovely I think and I didn't even think about it too much I just did it. Maybe that's just what I should be doing right... I used football paper from Forever Friends, I embossed a circle with a large circle folder, I coloured the image with my beloved promarkers, added a few gems and a sentiment on a tag with a tiny bit of ribbon.

Come on guys, come and join in with us this week and have fun x

Spotty winter bear

Hi guys,

I'm having fun today making some lovely cards. Some you will have to wait and see but one here for you now. If you're lucky you may actually see some more if I get time to post more today lol. I'm not feeling too great these last couple of days, I've got really bad tummy cramps which keep coming and going. It's really annoying, it woke me up a few times too. Anyway hopefully it will just go away, to keep my mind off it I have been crafting the hours away (and doing house chores in between obviously lol). Thought I could post this and maybe squeeze in another card before the Strictly and X Factor results shows lol.

The DP used is Papermania, from 2 different pads. I have lots of white snowflakes cut out of plastic, I added some glitter to these to make them stand out a little more. The image is Wild Rose Studio Christmas 2010, coloured with Promarkers. I used 2 different Martha Stewart punches and finished off with a few gems and distressed the edges.
This card is entered into the following challenges:
Christmas Stamping All Year Long: #71 Sketch
Just Cute Bears & Friends: #40 Winter Birthday
Happy Crafting everyone x

I think my mojo's coming back!!!!

Hi guys,

I am so excited today, I had a play around with a few ideas today and yes I love what I've come up with lol... Can I say that lol... Are any of you keeping up with Strictly Come Dancing? I love dancing so much, wish I could take part in it, my husband thinks I'm a loony as I've moved my coffee table out of the way and I have been dancing around the living room lol... Hey why not? Today my card is all about circles, glitter, metallic foils, lots of snowflakes and PINK lol my favourite colour. Seeing as I was trying to get my mojo back what better way than to work with my fav colour hey lol. Well here it is:

This is a Woodware stamp of lots of circles making up a wreath. I think I got excited with all the embellishments I've got glittery stickers, glitter, metallic foils, buttons, gems and ribbon lol. Oh I forgot the sequins lol... Gosh yes that is a lot of embellishments. The DP is Papermania pink Christmas. Right off to carry on dancing with Strictly and then X Factor (don't worry I don't sing lol), a night of lots of TV....

Craft Your Passion: Challenge #32: Diamond Fold Card

Hi guys,

This is my first post since I have returned from holiday. The holiday was amazing, we did lots of travelling and it was just great. I saw the Taj Mahal... that was just a stunning day. Anyways, this is a card blog not a holiday blog so before I go on and on about the holiday let me tell you about my card.

This week at Craft Your Passion, we were asked to make a diamond fold card, this I found really difficult to start with. I think I've lost my mojo because first I just couldn't figure out the folds (so simple now, I don't know why I was being so dumb) then I couldn't make my mind up about what to put on it. The image I wanted to use didn't look great to me when I made it smaller so I decided to cut the image out instead to make it work. To be completely honest I still don't know if I like it or not :( I found this image difficult to work with as I couldn't decide what theme I should go for. As Christmas is round the corner and I need to keep adding to my Christmas cards (don't we all) I decided to emboss the side panels in a snowflake folder to keep to the Christmas theme. Overall this is a really simple card, the instructions on how to make this card are here. I coloured the image in promarkers and rubbed some chalk over the embossed card. Very simple indeed.

Guys I will be back with some more fun cards, I need to get back into it, I just can't get started that's my problem, 3 weeks away from it all and this is what happens tut tut tut.....
Thanks for all your comments while I was off, keep them coming, it may help get my mojo back x

Craft Your Passion: Challenge #31: Double Anything on Your Card

Hi everyone,

Hope you are all very well.  Wow week 2 already for me as GDT for Craft Your Passion.  Doesn't time just fly.  So this week at CYP we are asking you to 'Double Anything on Your Card'.  Simple right?  Well I think I went a little mad with this one lol.  So here it is...

Close up of image

I wasn't so sure what to do with this image when I saw it but I love the way this card came out.  I think the red and black theme really goes with this.  Such a naughty but nice image ; )  So what did I double?  Well it may be easier to say what I didn't double lol.  I used 2 main colours (red and black), 2 dp's (both papermania), 2 ribbons (from stash, silky red and polka dot red) and finally 2 flowers (one papermania and one rose from Wild Orchid).  You don't have to go and double everything like I did but hey I just couldn't help myself lol.

Now come on, play along with us at Craft Your Passion and show us what you'll double.  Thanks for stopping by and for all your comments, I love reading them all x

Craft Your Passion: Challenge # 30 Anything Goes GDT

Hi Everyone,

What a fab start to the month.  I am away in India however I have pre-scheduled this post, really hope it works, I did test one and it worked fine so I'm sure it will (fingers crossed).  Today is my first attempt at a GDT spot for Craft Your Passion, this weeks challenge is 'ANYTHING GOES', so no excuses guys, come and play along with us x  Here is my card...

Close up of image

I really like this image, I wanted to add to my Christmas card collection so I coloured the bird like a Robin and then coloured the flowers to look like poinsettia's.  The image goes perfectly with the backing paper.  The paper is from Papermania.  The image was coloured using Promarkers and chalks.  I added a little ribbon to the corner of the image and a Papermania flower with a rose on top (Wild Orchid).  This image is so versatile, you could use it for any theme of card, next time I use it, I will be making a contemporary card I think....

Now head off to Craft Your Passion to check out the gorgeous DT creations and play along with us-remember ANYTHING GOES and you could win some fab digi's.

Really touched by Blog Award and some exciting news...

Hi guys,

Gosh finally it is FRIDAY, this just feels like the longest week ever.  It has just been SO busy.  I am off on holiday next week for 3 weeks to India and work has really got on top of me, I am a field sales rep so I have been out seeing customers all day then coming home to action all my days events and been trying to make cards, as well as packing and house chores and walking the dog and being a wife etc etc....  Yes much like everyone's life I guess but then it gets worse, my laptop broke, which my darling hubby fixed, only to find my work blackberry died the next day!!! This just completely put my work life on hold as I couldn't do ANYTHING while I was out and about for work so have been working late every night then waking up after a handful of hours of sleep so yes I really pants week....

Anyway, now that I've let that out, I have 3 bits of REALLY good news, and this is what has kept me going all week.  Firstly I am off on holiday next week, I am so excited, I haven't been to India for 15yrs so only have childhood memories and lots of poorly memories lol (my fault completely, I didn't listen to my parents when they said don't eat or drink something lol) the hubby has never been so we are really looking forward to it.

The second bit of news, I had an email from Laurette of Craft your passion, she has asked me to be a GDT for November, I just cannot believe it, I am absolutely delighted and excited.  I haven't been blogging for long so this just blew me away, I just can not wait to get started, in fact, am I supposed to be sharing this? : /  Anyway I just had to as I am rubbish with keeping such exciting secrets lolz.

And the last but surely the most touching and special news is my Blog Award.  This I had to read and check many times before I believed it.  I am one of those people who is just unlucky (not looking for sympathy but I never win anything or get anything, I just keep working hard and hope that one day things will get better) and you know what they just are.  My job is really demanding, I love it but it can take over my life this is why this year I thought I really have to do something to keep me sane and it is my crafting.  Like I said already I am new to blogging yet someone as talented as Sally Atkins (check out her blog if you haven't before, it is just fab) really blew me away with this award:

Thank you so much Sally, I really appreciate it x

In order to accept this award I have to tell you 7 things about me and then pass it to 7 bloggers, so here goes:

  1. I am an extremely bubbly, happy go easy character
  2. I never switch off, I'm always doing something
  3. I love my hubby, fur baby and family loads
  4. I was a huge rebel as a child and teen and have changed a lot since, I am so pleased I did, thanks to the hubby
  5. I love going to the gym and keeping fit and active
  6. I grow my own veg and am a keen gardener
  7. I like to express myself and my personality in my work
Now to the blogs I want to pass this award to.  I love visiting your blogs and find them extremely inspiring.  Thank you x

  1. Maria (it was from stalking your blog that I started my own)
  2. Mackenzie (again I stalked your blog loads before I plucked up the courage to start my own)
  3. Mandy (your work is just amazing)
  4. Lisa (your work and colouring is beautiful)
  5. Chrissy (you are just so talented and generous)
  6. Debs (again just great work)
  7. Jacqui (just great talent and inspiration)
I hope you all have a wonderful day x

Long time no see?

Hi Guys,

How are you all?  I'm still not feeling great but pondering on.  I have been away with work last week, got back home on Sunday night and just had so much to do around the house.  Last night I spent crafting, it was so nice to just be able to do some cards again, it's been absolutely ages.  This is going to be a LONG post, go grab your cuppa and hung on with me.

Today I have 5, yes 5 cards to show you.  Some I started before I went away for work and some I made yesterday.  I will go through each one individually.  I have had a few orders for Christmas cards, but they want traditional, as you can see from my previous work I am not really into this, but then I found this below.  I think these cards are just great, what do you think?

 Front of card 1

 Inside Card 1

 Front of Card 2

 Inside of Card 2

Front of Card 3

Inside Card 3
Sorry about the pic, they were really hard to take, just couldn't get the lighting right.  These are 3 designs from a Trinitage range.  Decoupage isn't really my thing but when I saw the sample card at the local craft show I thought, hey how great is this?  OK it isn't really decoupage, but the images are lovely and very traditional.  Hope the guys like these who are looking to order some traditional cards.

The way it works is, the images come printed on a sheet of A4 paper, you cut them out and make some cardboard tubes to stick the layered images onto and design to your hearts content... Simples... lol  OK if you want some more informed instructions, just email me and I can send them over, it is really easy and looks great.  I kept the fronts really simple because the cards are displayed in the pop up format so the front isn't really seen.  I added some glitter to the images (can't not hey)...

Challenges:

Cards 1,2,3-City Crafter Challenge Blog: #25 Hooray for the holidays
Cards 1,2,3-Charisma Cardz: #39 Christmas Crafting
Card 2-A Spoon Full of Sugar: #124 Sparkle and Shine (although all cards would qualify except cricket card lol)
Card 3-There's Magic In The Air:Magical Monday-A Christmas Card inc Snowflakes (the front of the card has snowflakes on it)
Card 3-ABC Christmas Challenge: T if for Tree

Card 4

Sweet Mandy of of A Sprinkle of Glitter very kindly sent me some candy through the post and one of the images is Sleeping Tilda in the card above.  What better timing of this arriving?  My cousin had a baby girl yesterday and this card is just prefect for her, the timing couldn't have been better!!  I coloured this with Promarkers.  The flourish is cut using a Marianne D die, how cute is that?  The flowers are from Wild Orchid and Papermania.  The ribbon, paper and gems are from stash.

I am entering Card 4 into the following challenges:

Pollycraft Monday Challenge: #64 Anything Goes
The Pink Elephant: #85 Childhood
Just Magnolia: #75 Anything Goes
Stamp Something: Something to celebrate
One Stop Craft Challenge: #100 Congratulations
Craft Your Days Away: #5 Babies

Front of Card 5

Inside Card 5

Challenges:

Card 5: Stampavie and More: #110 More than one fold

This is a gate fold card for a friend, as you can tell he is a huge cricket fan.  The image, sentiment and DP is Papermania.  For the inside of the card I just stamped loads of cricket related images, again from the Papermania range all around the inside.  For the inner I coloured the items in chalks and added some shading around the image to make them look like they are flying around, can you tell?

Right almost to the end now.  Recently I won a beautiful blog award, thing is I need to tell you 7 things about myself and forward the award to a few people, I already have 3 definite candidates, just going to browse some more blogs now to find some more beautiful blogs, yes I know all of them lol.... This is so hard x  Come back to see if it is yours x

Bye for now x

Romantic 30th

Hey my second post for today.

This card is for my brother in law, he is 30 soon.  My sister wanted a romantic card for him with 30 on it, just to remind him how old he is lol.  So here is what I came up with.  A really simple design as this is what she asked for.  Also as it is for a man I didn't want to glam it up too much.

This card was easy to put together, I stamped these absolutely beautiful heart stamps from Graphicus with versa ink, covered them with gold embossing powder, used a heat gun to emboss the powder then cut the hearts out.  I cut the 30 using my Cricut and the tiny hearts are a punch.  To these I added tiny gems.  The ribbon is from stash.  I just love these heart stamps.  It is a fab set, check it out here.

This card is entered for the following challenges:

A Spoon Full of Sugar: #122 Anything Goes
Charisma Cardz: #38 Anything Goes
Crazy 4 Challenges: #56 Bling (the gold embossing and gems)
Keep it Simple: Gold Dust
Sentimental Sundays: #22 Dimension (embossing and the middle heart is on foam)

That's all for this post, I'm off to make some more cards now lol x

I'm Back!!!

Hi guys,

Oh I have missed you all so much.  I am back..... YAY!!!!!

In terms of how I'm feeling?  Well I can just about sit now for a decent period of time so that means I can CRAFT AGAIN!!!  I am so behind with my cards.  I have 2 urgent orders and one is complete and below.  This card is made especially for a footy mad young lad, he loves Lionel Messi and Barcelona AND he is going to be 10!!!  This card just turned out lovely, I am sure he will love it.

This is the front of the card.  The boy who the card is for is a huge Messi fan, however I couldn't find a decent picture of him for the card.  Then I found this shirt with the number 10 on it.  As the boy is going to be 10, I had to work with this.  The rest of the card stemed from here.

This is the inside of the card.  A clipart of a football pitch.  I added 3 gems to the centre and goaly box so that when the card was stood up in it's display position the top had something to lean against and stand in the correct position.

This is the card in it's display position.

Another pic of the card in it's display position.

This card was great to make as it is a completely different style for me and I always struggle making cards for boys/men however this is one of my favourite male cards.  I hand cut the footballs from a small bit of scrap dp (Forever Friends-For Him).  I cute the sentiment with my Cricut E, I alternated the maroon and navy to match the Barcelona kit.  I love it.  What do you think?

This card is being centered into:

A Spoon Full of Sugar: #122 Anything Goes
Charisma Cardz: #38 Anything Goes
Allsorts: #71 Plain and Simple
Crafty Sentiments Designs: #36 Use your scraps (footballs cut from scrap dp)
One Stich at a Time: #32 Anything Goes

So good to be back!  Hopefully if I carry on as I have been, trying to relax and rest, then you should see loads more of me in the coming days x Take care everyone x

Ouch : (

Hi Guys,

I just wanted to let you all know I am still here but unfortunately I've had a rather nasty fall.  I was moving my craft stuff upstairs and basically fell down the stairs.  I have really hurt my hand, ankle and back.  I am on really stong pain killers and they are making me feel really rough : / According to the doc I should be better next week.  I had an Xray today just waiting for the results.  Wish me luck as if I have broke anything I will need an op and I can't face that.  My mum and dad are coming over to look after me today, I have never missed my mum so much : ( I know still a kid at 25, I should be ashamed of myself.

I will be back as soon as I can x

A man card

Hiya all,

Hope you are having a fab day.  I sure am, I spent most of it crafting (who doesn't love that).  Then helped the hubby cook and back to crafting, although this will have to be my last post today, sorry xx

I really am pleased with this card.  Like most of us, I find cards for men rather difficult.  But this was lovely to put together and turned out rather sweet.  What do you think?

Card Recipe:  Stamp Wild Rose Studio 'For Men' collection.  The dotty paper is Papermania 'The Big One' and the football paper is Forever Friends 'Just for him'  I love this paper, shame you can't buy it in individual sheets :(  The football in the corner is from stash using a sizzix die I think.  I coloured the image with my Promarkers and that sit, simples....

I'm going to look at some of your work now before I go to bed, I will be back tomorrow with some more fun ideas.

Stamped Candle

Hi all,

Right I finally got round to doing it!  Woohoo!  I have seen a few of these and not managed to get down to trying it so I saw a challenge on Charisma cardz (#36 Try Something New) and thought I should pull my finger out and try it.  Sorry about the pic, I just couldn't get a decent picture, I took the candle all around the house with me lol.

So here it is:

Yes I know it is NOT the most beautiful thing I have made but it WORKS!!!  I just picked a simple stamp (from Graphicus) that didn't need any shading etc to test this technique.  All you do it stamp an image onto a tissue paper, colour it using your preferred method (I used a Promarker).  Then cut out the image, position it onto the candle, cover the whole candle (all the way round) with paper, wax paper or grease proof paper (I used an A4 sheet of paper).  Heat over the stamped image with a heat gun, spread heat evenly, remove the paper and your image should have adhered to the candle.  The kinda mistake I made is that I didn't really know when to stop lol.  Then I just added a little glitter around the image to finish it off.  I would love to make some Christmas ones but before I do I thought I would light the candle at home and make sure it is 'safe'.  Don't want any accidents now do we?  Lol

So the candle is lit in my living room right now and it looks lovely.  It will probably be a few days before we get to know if it is safe.  I hope it is as I would love to try it again.  Give it a go and let me know how you get on, or if you have any tips.  I would love to see your creations so leave me a comment so I can come take a look.

Hope you enjoy, I sure did x

Fairy dust Tilda

Hiya again everyone.

Another of my creations for you today.  This time I went back to my favourite colour Pink.  This is the first time I have used this stamp, it was a treat to colour and I added sparkle to the fairy dust.

I created this step card sometime ago when I was playing around with my at the time new hougie board.  It makes cards like this so simple to make.  I bought my hougie from my local craft shop 'Hooked on Crafts' in Kingswood, Bristol-Nik is really nice and very helpful.  It's great because it has cm on one side and inch measurements on the other, no need to purchase 2 boards now.

Card Recipe:  Stamp is Fairy Dust Tilda, DP is Dovecraft Piece of Cake, sentiment is a freebie from a craft magazine from some time ago, rest from stash.

Cute Dog

Hi Guys,

Gosh what a busy week I've had.  Work has been so busy also I've had a rather poorly Ricco (my sweet fur baby).  Me and the hubby have been so worried about him, turns out he had 'dog flu'.  He is still on meds but hopefully on the mend, in fact he's sleeping on my lap right now bless him, rather uncomfortable for me but as long as he's OK hey.  Anyway so this is why I have been a little incommunicardo this week, sorry guys.

This card is for him, Ricco is a Miniature Dachshund but I don't have a dachsy stamp so this is a get better soon card for him.

The stamp is from Wild Rose Studio, sorry can't remember what it is called.  They also have some cute cat stamps.

Card Receipe:  DP Papermania, The Big One.  Image coloured with Promarkers.  Large flowers from Papermania and small ones from Wild Orchid, gems are also Papermania.

I love how this card is so simple yet elegant.  Here's hoping Ricco gets better soon.
